Seller is referred to as a seller or an individual or a company which is engaged in the business of manufacturing, distributing or retail & wholesale selling of any products who list, advertise, offers to sell, make available, market, sale and deliver products through the Website to the buyer. Sellers policy is part of terms and conditions of Silkal By registering as a Seller you hereby accept the Seller policy and terms and conditions of our website. If you disagree to these terms then please exit the page and do not use this website. In order to fully understand our practices please read all other policies on our Website. Seller’s policy is subject to change without any prior notice, in order to keep updated please view the policy from time to time.

Seller Registration

In order to sell through our website the Seller has to register with our website as a Seller with all the required information while registration which should be true & accurate, up to date and valid. If the information provided by Seller is false, fraudulent or misleading. If the Silkal came to know that the information provided by Seller is false, misleading or do not agrees to our policies in any way than the Silkal has the sole right the suspend or terminate the Seller’s account and in such case the Seller shall also be liable for all the liabilities, risks, damages and consequences that may arise.

Seller Eligibility

In order to become a Seller in Silkal the Seller should be engaged in the business of legal manufacturing, distributing or retail & wholesale selling of any traditional products or any products which shows our Indian culture & the Seller must ensure that all the documents and information given by Seller to us is true & accurate. The Silkal first verifies all documents and information given by Seller is Accurate or not, after verifying information’s Silkal will approve the Seller to list products in our website.

Items Can be Sold in Silkal

Silkal is marketplace for a traditional & cultural items manufactures & sellers, homemade products which can be legally sold can be listed and sold in our website. The products which are prohibited legally cannot be sold or listed on our website. The Seller must ensure that the listed items do not infringe upon the intellectual property, trade secrets or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy rights of third parties.

Seller’s terms of Listing’s

As a registered seller, you are allowed to list item for sale on the Website in accordance with the Policies which are incorporated by way of reference in this Terms & conditions. You must be legally able to sell the item you list for sale on our Website. You must ensure that the listed items do not infringe upon the intellectual property, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy rights of third parties. Listings may only include text descriptions, graphics and pictures that describe your item for sale. All listed items must be listed in an appropriate category on the Website. All listed items must be kept in stock for successful fulfillment of sales.

The listing description of the item must not be misleading and must describe actual condition of the product. If the item description does not match the actual condition of the item, you agree to refund any amounts that you may have received from the Buyer. You agree not to list a single product in multiple quantities across various categories on the Website. Silkal reserves the right to delete such multiple listings of the same product listed by you in various categories.

Seller Account

When the seller get registered in our website i.e the Seller account request has been approved by Silkal the Seller gets a dashboard where Seller can easily control, add or delete their products, descriptions of products, orders,  payments. So the seller is sole responsible for all the products Seller has listed. The Seller has to provide a true and accurate information about payments and products. The Seller should refund the amount or replace the products to the consumer or Silkal if the product is not the same as it is listed in the website.


Reviews are a great way to build reputation. The review system allows the users to provide reviews for the products and the Seller. The Sellers may have various means of evaluation like star ratings , percentage of satisfaction, comments or any other means. Sellers shall not misuse this review system. Sellers are prohibited from doing the following actions:

  • Creating fake or fraudulent ratings, reviews or feedback.
  • Providing rating, reviews or feedback to their own account.
  • Provide any forms of compensation for providing rating, reviews or feedback.
  • Manipulating the ratings, reviews or feedback by any means.
  • Using abusive, offensive or other inappropriate language as part of conversations.
  • From threatening or harassing buyers or other members as part of conversations or any other means.


When You use the Website or send emails or other data, information or communication to Silkal, You agree and understand that You are communicating with Silkal through electronic records. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with You by email or by posting notices on the Website or through any other Silkal services. You agree that all the agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to You electronically shall be deemed to be adequate services of notice/electronic record and satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.


Silkal uses third party payment providers to receive payments from the Buyers on Seller’s behalf. Silkal is not responsible for delays or erroneous transaction execution or cancellation of orders due to payment issues. Silkal takes utmost care to work with 3rd party payment providers, but does not control their systems, processes, technology and work flows, hence cannot be held responsible for any fault at the end of payment providers. Further, Silkal does not release the payment to Sellers until the order has been received by the Buyers and they are satisfied with it. Silkal shall only make payments to the Sellers subject to realisation of payment received from the Buyer to Silkal. The Seller payment is typically net of the service fee charged by Silkal for its services and after deduction of applicable withholding taxes (if any).

Orders, Delivery

Orders for the product shall be received using the website and shall be forwarded to the Seller by the Silkal via email or message or notifications.

The Seller shall upon receipt of the order from the Silkal immediately arrange to deliver the products to the designated address as early as possible on their own courier or through the logistics partner of Silkal but in any case the dispatch shall be made within 3(three) days of the receipt of the Order through . In case the Seller fails to dispatch the product within the aforesaid time, it has to return the amount if received back to the Silkal forthwith. No delay in returning the amount is permissible and any delay caused shall be considered as breach of the agreement and be one of the cause for termination of agreement. The Seller shall provide to the Silkal the consignment number, details of courier/shipment agency immediately followed by proof of delivery.

The Seller shall ensure that the products dispatched are of the specifications ordered and there is no variation whatsoever. The necessary guarantee/warranty shall be provided by the Seller to the customer.

Cancellation, Refund & Returns

Seller has to promptly deal with all the issues regarding pre/post delivery of items. The Seller is solely responsible for maintaining information regarding cancellations, refunds and returns in case of any disputes or otherwise.

In case of cancellations the Seller has to refund the amount if it has been received. The cancellations may be initiated by buyers, Sellers or Silkal. If the item is missing, damaged, defective, not as specified by the Seller or has missing parts then the Seller has to refund the payment received or replace the item with the new one, as requested by the buyer. For the items eligible for replacement, the item has to be replaced with a newly requested item upon the buyer request.
